Understanding hold periods and minimum payout thresholds

If you haven’t received your affiliate payout yet – don’t worry! It’s probably because your earnings haven’t met the brand’s hold period or minimum payout threshold yet.

Here’s how these two rules work and when you can expect your payment.

When affiliate payments are made

Affiliate commissions with Modash are paid starting on the 1st of each month.

To receive a payout, your earnings need to meet both of the following criteria 👇

1. Minimum hold period

Each brand sets its own hold period, which is the number of days Modash waits before releasing a payout.

This allows time for any cancellations, refunds, or returns to be processed before the payment is finalized.

For example:

If a brand’s hold period is 30 days, your payout for a purchase made on May 15 will be released on June 14, as long as the purchase wasn’t cancelled or refunded.

2. Minimum payout threshold

Each brand also sets a minimum payout threshold — the minimum amount you must earn before a payout is made.

For example:

If the threshold is $50 and your commissions total $35 for the month, that balance will carry over to the next month.

Once your total commissions reach $50 and the hold period ends, your payout will be included in the next payment cycle (starting on the 1st of the upcoming month).

Where to check your payout details

You can view the hold period and minimum payout threshold for each brand in your creator Dashboard > Collabs.
